I love your comments about her sensing the physical but also mental openness of being out of the cage. So powerful. I was so honored to get to know her at the shelter (thanks for your guidance!) and remember one day a few months ago when, after spending a long while with her, she stretched out in front of me looking so relaxed, and purred! I remember her playing with her beloved ball toys :) and reaching through the cage to touch and play with her kitten and cat neighbors, gently. What a great cat. While she never got her "forever home" outside of the shelter, she did feel at home at BARC and I agree, she knew love. Thank you for sharing her story and for being there for her.
